Des Chapstick Have Calories?

My experience of "hibernation".

I waited a long time before writing this account of my lethargy already announced (see post of July 28, 2009). One reason is related to the fact that the protracted period of cold (yesterday, for the record, snowing) I really struggle to return to some normality. Now, however, is struggling to find the item from which, there are many facets of this experience. I begin to answer more general questions: when, how, why?

Now:

when?

Just to give me a rule, I had previously determined that my "hibernation" would have started on December 11, 2009 and ending January 10, 2010. In fact, for reasons also related to work commitments difficult to be delayed, began December 24, 2009 and ended January 10, 2010.

However, from 11 December 2009 until March 7, 2010, my business has been slow, however, for my specific desire.

The choice of the period of "hibernation" was linked to the idea of \u200b\u200bsuspending the work in the coldest period of the year.

In the first week of "hibernation", in reality, December 24 to 31, I have done nothing but make an effort to succeed in reaching a new rhythm of life. In an effort to stop me from work, stop it, I could understand how the various activities that they had undertaken and how they were really too many.

The subsequent recovery was not easy and required a longer period, although not cover all the activities that preceded the "hibernation", but only some, because I could not even get to realize that all were so necessary or were addressed in the proper proportions.

How?

certainly not falling into a long sleep: we must not forget that the lethargy is a ruse, complex, that nature has invented to pass the winter in the "chilly" like me. Of course, I slept, because it also allowed me to save energy, to "live" during daylight hours and sleep in the other hours. I'm so at home and I was just trying to give a weight to weight to another day and night. I could finally listen to my rhythm and my physiological needs and fulfill them.

Why?

Many are, of course, the reason why. The main requirement is that having chosen to use the bicycle as a means of locomotion, instead of the car, I was becoming difficult to get around when it's cold and there is little light, because the days are short and the roads still too dangerous .

Secondly, being holed up at home in the coldest period, means not consuming energy at work and at home to save on energy, being able to adjust the heating system continuously, thus improving the performance .

What can I say, finally, from this experience?

Surely, it is necessary to repeat.

Hibernation has given me the opportunity to enjoy the beautiful things that I find myself, including, of course, health. I was able to stop and think about my future, when asked about what were my real needs: in short, I was given a break that allowed me to understand where I was going.

not want to encourage others to try the experience of hibernation (but I highly recommend), but I want to invite you to listen to the rhythms of your body to adapt to them and what surrounds them. A little 'as the cushion when installed the sofa, when it makes us feel comfortable.

I am increasingly convinced that it is dangerous to our health as well as our mind, the research approval with others: for all practical purposes, it is simply a guarantee that the debt will grow more and more.
